The game is peerpeer, but it doesn't actively display your IP in the game or anything. That review more than likely used a tool called Wireshark. In order to play any form of online multiplayer, an ip address will be visible to the game server. This can either be your ip or that of a VPN. Even if they dont show the IP in the UI then there are a bunch of different ways to see the IP address as the traffic leaves your device.
